The following is a list of my past and ongoing personal projects. Since I’m juggling work and completing my Masters degree, I often don’t work on these as much as I’d like to:

Homelab

Current - Source

My ongoing homelab project. It has only just started off as I bought two smaller nucs midway through last year. I’ve currently got them running as a single Proxmox cluster which is running a couple of differnet VMs.

On some of these VMs is my k8s cluster which is the first time I’ve played around with Gitops (i.e., flux). I mainly did this because I wanted to try it out, and I also didn’t want to have to worry about securing my CICD runner on GitHub to auth and push changes to my cluster.
CSSE3200 Discord Bot

I started tutoring CSSE3200: Software Engineering Studio: Design, Implement and Test at UQ in Semester 2 2025.

As a part of that, I wanted to a) test out my homelab somehow and b) build something that could help my studio class out.

After some careful thinking, I decided to build a discord bot that would help students in our Studio’s discord server.
CSSE6400 ExpenseFlow

As a part of “CSSE6400: Software Architecture” at UQ, I built a expense management tool alongside 4 other software engineering students.

Theres a bunch more info on the README; however, to keep things brief, we used FastAPI for the backend, Flutter on the frontend, Auth0 for authn and authz and we used Terraform to deploy it all to AWS.
Gardens of the Galaxy - libGDX Game

Gardens of the Galaxy is a futuristic space farming game built with libGDX during semester 1 of 2023 for CSSE3200 - Software Engineering Studio. This game was built by around 40 students over a 8 week time period (4 sprints). Before starting this project, I had no game dev experience, but soon picked it up and managed to deliver several different key game components, including a lighting, mission, time and visual particle effect system.
